"Now I am very good at Milan. After the champions league final in 2007, I never thought I would end my career at Milan! But I am good here and although I don't play regularly, I have a very good goalkeeper in front of me and I just want to help him to improve."

Reina is 36, former team-mates Steven Gerrard and Xabi Alonso have taken up coaching and Jamie Carragher has developed into a television celebrity. Reina said: "I have two years left on my contract with Milan and I will see how I feel, especially mentally, before I make a decision."

"Of course I want to stay in football, whether as a coach or manager, I don't know yet. But one thing is clear: I will continue to work with football."
